hey there, i'm jackie mabe

Mabe Design Co. began in 2016 when my husband Ryan and I moved back home to eastern Iowa after having graduated from Iowa State University, and living together as newlyweds in Des Moines for three years. I had always desired to work from home, and with the move came an opportunity to side-step into starting my own business while still working part-time remotely for my previous job.

Today, I specialize in bespoke wedding stationery, often incorporating hand-drawn florals or hand-painted watercolor elements into my designs. The wedding invitation is the first tangible piece that your guests receive—I believe that it's more than just a piece of paper, it's a sneak peek into the wedding experience that is to come.

I feel incredibly thankful to have been part of so many couple's love stories and would be honored to be part of yours. So, are you ready to get started? Together, let's create your dream wedding suite!

My Mission

I meet deadlines and I stick to my word because those are the kinds of people I personally like doing business with. Growing up, my mom always said ‘Treat others the way you like to be treated’ and I suppose her wisdom stuck with me.

This statement has shaped my life, and it's now the purpose of Mabe Design Co. I know wedding planning can be stressful (I went through it myself five years ago!) so my intent in all of this is to do my part in making your day as stress-free as possible. My desire is for you to have beautiful wedding paper goods that serve a purpose for your guests but are also a treasured memory for generations to come so that one day you can re-live one of the best days of your life by simply glancing at a piece of paper.

My Loves

I make an effort to keep my working hours between 8-5 so that I can spend the evenings
and weekends devoted to my three loves.
My high school sweetheart husband Ryan
and our Mini Goldendoodles Yadi and Kobe.

I also love baking (I've got an excellent chocolate chip cookie recipe), traveling, baseball games, and my Savior Jesus Christ.

Now all glory to God, who is able to do
immeasurably more than we might ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
—Ephesians 3:20—
